I shoot what stops me — a reflection in a window, intersecting tram tracks on cobblestones, a red that insists on being noticed. My work is built around geometry, scale, and color as the subject rather than a mood. Four decades of photography, starting on film in the early 1980s and eventually moving to digital with Leica and Sony, has encouraged me to slow down and look hard for the adjective, not the noun.
I’m based in Stuttgart and shoot primarily on a Leica Q3 and M9, a Sony A7R III, and a Ricoh GR IV for the moments that call for something smaller. Bags, filters, straps — happy to go down that rabbit hole with anyone who’s interested.
And then there's my beautiful assistant, Sophia, a 1970 Vespa 50L, who has her own ideas about showing up in my photographs.
